My heroes are my wife and kids. From oldest to youngest, there is my oldest son Patrick, my daughter Briana, and my youngest son Jordan.
Patrick was a three time cancer survivor who started his battle at the age of 4 when he became sick with Leukemia. Despite all of his medical problems, Patrick made the most of every opportunity to be the best he could be. He loved sports and played soccer as a kid. He was involved with Boy Scouts and loved fishing. Patrick was an avid musician and played Drums, Guitar, Piano, Bass, and Baritone Sax. He loved building sets for the theatre and designing lights and sound for entertainment productions. Patrick graduated from Fairfield University in 2013. He was a great role model to his little brother and shared many activities with his sister. Sadly Patrick lost his fight with cancer on April 23, 2015. His family and many friends remember him as a special person who always had a wonderful positive attitude and a great smile even when he felt sick.
Briana is a very smart young lady who graduated from Clark University in 2015 and is working on her Masters degree in Biology to become a nurse. She was a wonderful helper when her brother got sick and we know she will be a great nurse because she loves to help others. She knows how important a college education is so she paid most of her college expenses on her own. Briana loves music, art, and taking care of animals. She has a very active hedge hog and would love to live on a horse farm because she has been riding horses since she was in 3rd grade.
Jordan is the youngest child in the Cooney family. Jordan is also very smart and loves to play mine craft and computer games. He wants to have his own YouTube channel when he gets a little older so he can share what he loves to do with others. He loves to help others and says he wants to find a way to make homeless people live more comfortably and in a safer environment.
My wife is Laura is the leader of this family of heroes. She has a part time job as a book keeper. When she comes home from work, she continues to provide our family with all of the things we need to stay happy and healthy. Her job never ends. She is always taking care of us and meeting our family's needs before her own. Laura is our teacher, our provider, and keeps us from getting into trouble.
These four people are my heroes everyday.
